I expected a lot worse but it's still not much to go back too or even think about. There are a few songs where she dies change her flow and goes into a Young MA esque pocket and there's some where she sounds more like Nicki Minaj. But the obvious lack in skill and depth in the lyrics pull everything away. I appreciate it being short but a good 19 minutes out of the 23 minutes of the album is just throwaway imo. I wish all the best for Ms. Spice I would just like to know who she is ... read more
Great rapping and punchlines but not every song connects as much as it should alot of the amazing standout features are balanced out with some just okay features some of the choruses aren't as engaging as the verses they build from and that kind of pulls you out the project. But still a good album and the issues that exist aren't overpowering the great songs .
Was able to pull a few bangers out the record but it isn't much different than what to expect from rich the kid same pre-2016 Migos, Peewee Longway-esque style without as much character charisma and song making ability.
21 Savage continues to be a staple in hip hop and continues to improve and his music matures as he does and that’s what you can hear throughout the album even tho they come with some contradictions. There is a heavy r&b inspired section that can be hit or miss specifically the Brent faiyaz and Summer Walker Records that I felt didn’t fully reach where it was spose to go whether it was vocally or just there contribution lyrically not connecting
If you’re a fan of Future and Metro Production this is damn near the perfect album for that style. Definitely one of the best albums still to drop in hip hop this year.
