Eminem - Recovery
68

The limited great songs on this album make up for the mid that most of it is. A lot of this album is plagued by very obnoxious hooks and Eminem yelling some of his most surface level and non interesting lyrics. Regardless, there are some highlights on this album and if this album was 17 songs that sounded like No Love it would be another classic from Eminem, however, we sadly don't live in that reality.

Eminem - Relapse
74

Relapse is such an interesting album because I at the same time love and hate everything about this album. Some of these songs can be a chore to listen to while at the same time being absolute bangers. The horrorcore vibes make up for a lot of it however.

Eminem - Encore
57

This album has some of the most obnoxious and lame songs in his entire catalogue. 70% of this album is just Eminem being crude for no other reason than he thinks it's funny to be an asshole. The limited highlights on this album make up for a bit of the shortcomings, however, there's no getting songs like Rain Man or Big Weenie where he seems to not even make an effort to try to make good sounding music.

Eminem - The Eminem Show
90

Another classic album by Eminem. His second best album in his career. Eminem explores his fame more throughout this album and he is able to make classic songs with amazing flows while doing so. Almost every song on here is great with the only outlier being Drips ft. Obie Trice.

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
98

His best album that he ever put out and it's not even close. An instant classic with the most replay value out of his entire catalogue. This album builds on the Slim Shady character while also having moments where Eminem struggles with his new found fame. Not a single track on this record is a miss and you can still feel the struggle in his lyrics that fuels his hateful outlook on the world at this point in his life.

Eminem - The Slim Shady LP

An all time classic album from Eminem and a great introduction to the Slim Shady character. Eminem's flows and "I don't give a fuck" attitude help to elevate this album to one of his greatest. The introspective moments and lyrics about struggle help the listener to relate to what he has to say and allow for someone to understand where he is in the point of his life where he feels like the only way to adapt to the awful world around himself is to become a vulgar, hateful ... read more

On Klondike's review of Eminem - The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)
"@Klondike this album, while flawed, is not bad compared to something like revival or kamikaze, this album is more of a return to form for eminem and shows that he can still rap and can still make very catchy songs. say what you want about houdini, that song is still amazingly catchy. there are so many positives on this album that there's no way you can give this just a 0. did you not enjoy the JID feature? did you not feel anything when you listened to temporary and somebody save me? you can't find anything at all redeemable about this album?"
