once again aoty users don't understand the concept of post release singles
is it too early to call aoty?

discovered eli from videos of her current tour and i really enjoyed this! i love when an artist puts a lot of effort into their aesthetic and branding and you can tell a lot of care is put in here. this is also insanely solid for a debut album! excited to hear what's next :)
Favorite Track: "I Wish I Was a Girl"

i mean i get the concept but like what does this have to do with the song
had so much potential but it feels like a majority of this album was made the night before the deadline.
the obvious point first, these tracks are so damn short. which can be a shame because some of them are really great and could have easily been way better songs had they just written an extra verse for them. this was basically an album that was 80% interlude 20% actual song.
so many of these tracks could be cut in favor of giving some extra attention to some of the better songs on the ... read more
i had a fun time with this!
i went into this album with really low expectations and i don't really know why? i've enjoyed his previous albums so i'm not sure what i thought would be different here? hell i even enjoyed aperture and my expectations were low for some reason
speaking of aperture, it is a very strange single choice in my opinion. it works as an album opener but i think there are so many other songs in here that would've worked better. assuming he follows the ... read more
probably one of the most inoffensive albums i've listened to in a bit. production is good, but mostly sounds samey through the whole project. the songwriting feels kind of empty, with basically every song boiling down to "girl i love you ahaha you're so sexy"
not bad but boring

review #574 of me going "man i wish i listened to this one sooner"
i feel a majority of these tracks hit the hardest in the context of the album, but there's not a bad song on this album in my opinion. i don't think i'll be regularly streaming 70% of the album, but when i remember a certain track it will hit for sure
ipod touch and fuck my computer are INSANE such a good track run.
i love when tracks flow into each other on an album and this does that a lot and ... read more
one of her better remixes! enjoyed this more than i thought
aoty users on their way to give a 0 to a song they haven't listened to
first half had me really scared but i enjoyed the latter! you can 100% tell this is a first album but i totally see untapped potential. i'm also not religious at all nor do i know anything about religion so all the symbolism flew over my head.
Favorite Track: "moses"
Least Favorite Track: "the red apple"
as much as i love charli's upbeat club tracks, i think a lot of her best work is in her slower, calmer tracks. this album is absolutely full of them.
i was worried going into this album because it was a soundtrack (i know it's technically an album, but she wrote it for the movie) but she delivered! some great tracks on this album.
