to me, the obvious comparison is star walkin. both are rap songs on a synthpop/rap instrumental, but the difference is that the verses last more than a few seconds on star walkin. however, in this song, the intro flows into the pre chorus awkwardly and the verses are incredibly short. in a nutshell, it kind of just sounds like the pre chorus and chorus on loop three times. love lnxs music but a lot of the songs he released are kinda mid (soundcloud sonfs bang though). the sample was pretty nice
this is probably the most boring post malone single ever. im all for this country route since i really liked i had some help and the other snippets hes posted on social media but when i heard the snippet of this song, i was not sure it would hit. i was right, it did not hit and it sounds so generic.
my one problem with the album is that so many songs sound so boring adn empty with literally the trap beat. the songs that dont soung really boring, however, are incredibly good, which are the songs holding the album up. it seems like there are some slight rock influences in some tracks, and i gotta say those are the best songs on here and its not even close. if don toliver goes the trap rock direction, ill be seated.
the ultimate driving album (except for the BigXthaPlug feature that shit was awful)
this is the most american song ever released. also morgan actually sounds good for the first time ever
dont understand the hype for this song, but why does the vhs version exist?
kanyes lost. some parts of it are good, and those parts dont have kanye in it. also why is he so desperate to be part of tbe beef?
the only songs i would come back to are the r&b/synthpop and side b songs. all the others are just filler and i got really bored listening to the album.
i want to separate art from artist but the art is literally as bad as the artist ππ
a lot better than j christ. one of the reasons i love lnx is how versatile he is and this proves it
the instrumental grew on me. theres no other reason why my score is this high
idk why people were expecting something spectacular. this song was never meant to surpass the original. it was made out of love and respect for the original, and luke just wanted to share it to the world. hes gone on to explain how much this song meant to him. with that mindset in mind, i think he succeeds.
pretty generic but i like the use of the sample and i think his flow is really good on this song.
It's a pretty mixed bag. For the most part, the production is pretty good. I'm usually not one to complain about his grating voice since I usually don't think it's too bad, but in a few songs, his voice is kind of unbearable. There's a whole bunch of nothing in the middle half of the album and I'm probably only gonna go back and listen to a few songs in the beginning and a few songs in the end of the album. The trap songs on this album I wasn't a big fan of (I'm not much of a trap fan maybe ... read more
as generic as this is, i was vibin to the song. and then central cee decided to give a terrible and unecessary rap verse.
jack harlow is usually shit. hes pretty good here. jungkook is usually mid. hes pretty shit here. the beat isnt very good and the vocals dont sound very good either. im not a kpop guy but most kpop records are at least a 5/10
i know its unfair to rate an album before i listen to the entire thing, but im halfway through and im bored as fuck. ive heard some of the singles, and they are miles better than the other songs on the album so far. her flow is the same and the lyrics arent very good for most of it. someone can convince me to listen to a few of the songs they think are good, but i aint listening to the entire album.
