Before I get to the actual review, I have to talk about how important this is to me outside of the music itself. From around 2018-2021, I primarily listened to my favorite band "Starset". Finally listened to this EP and... it's a bit rough? I was very worried when the singles kept coming out and even though I liked all of them, I had some issues with them (*cough cough* toksik) but I was also excited. It has some amazing highs, I really love Silos, dystopia and AD ASTRA. Head over heels cover is also such a beautiful cover. However some lows are their lowest, like sway and toksik. It was pretty enjoyable, the only thing i'm not crazy about is the robotic vocals.
This ep (specifically the song wonderland) was my introduction to this band and I love it. The songs are pretty, dreamy, heavy and inspiring, exactly the kind of music I would expect from a band with that name.
This album is fine, I have never really been a big fan of Make Them Suffer's albums. I like few songs from them but that's kinda it. I like few songs from this album, oscillator (the pre-chorus and the chorus slap), epitaph and venusian blues. Everything else kinda just blends in for me both lyrically and sonically. This band couldn't have picked a better name, Love is noise puts all the love in the noise they make and it's very visible in this album. This album is so beautiful, nostalgic, dreamy and a little heavy though not as much as their earlier work which is my small issue with this project and that the songs sound kinda similar but it really is a small issue for me personally.
