This took me a while to write and I have no idea as well. And as always, sorry for grammatical mistakes lmao

Culture Shock's debut album on RAM Records shows his capability of making euphoric tunes, but there's some room to be desired.

Personally, Culture Shock is the type of artist who will release tracks so good I put it on repeat and release tracks that is so generic it makes me sleep. Kind of like Dimension but more hit-or-miss. (they kinda share the same style). Apparently, there are 3 remixes that was in the album? And no, this isn't a deluxe version. I personally find it weird tbh.

Now, for the album itself, let me just
"Initiate Start Sequence." ⨳𔔁⬦°

Intro tracks can be used to set the mood for the track for a brief moment. In this case, it did its job well but I'm a bit shunned that there's is 2 seconds of silence from the intro track to "Bunker". Now, on Bunker, this tune hits really hard. The little percussions during the drop makes this track one of the most enjoyable tunes James made. Speaking of hard-hitting bangers, there's "Get Physical", which shares some of the characteristics with Bunker, but the groove is more prominent with the bassline than on the drums. Other tracks include "Neighborhood" and "Take Control." which are also heavy and makes use of the signature Culture Shock bass.

On the contrary, "Renaissance" works just fine for a club, it has nice vocals and such. However, it sounds like twin version of Dimension's "Devotion". Moving to "bland", I feel like this album can be a bit dragging if it drops banger after banger. This is a problem to most DnB releases unfortunately (this is an album, not a live set). "There For You" tries to lighten up the mood after those heavy ahh tunes, but tunes to be flat as a pancake in the end.
The remixes after the initial album are decent, but it wasn't that impressive. WEHBBA's remix of "Bunker", while it fits the bunker theme, it removed the features that makes the original mix stand out and turned it into an average techno track. Breakage's remix of "There For You" exists.

Overall, it's a decent project to showcase what Culture Shock can do, but most of the tracks here are either great, decent or just exists. He excels at producing hard-hitting bangers like Bunker and Neighborhood though.
