Marquee Moon is fantastic. The obvious thing to talk about with this album is how it coined post-punk. Everyone from the political commentary of Talking Heads to the depression and alienation dissected by Joy Division, Television had a key part to play. But for me, what I like the most about this album, is its willingness to be so upfront and idiosyncratic. This album, in my opinion, is one of the most cohesive LPs to ever hit the shelves. For me, Twin Fantasy is an exceptionally thoughtfully constructed masterpiece. What grabs me the most about this album is its cohesion, and how all of the tracks relate. There are songs with opposite titles, samples of earlier tracks, and shared refrains. This is my first review, so I am not sure what I want to write - the length of it or the content. But, I knew this was the album I was going to write about. Imaginal Disk opened my eyes to what music can be. To be completely honest, I didn't know sounds could sound like what this album does from start to finish.
