I saw Ruston Kelly in concert a few nights ago and forgot just how much I love this album – still remembered a lot of the lyrics. An album that's great for every mood.

'Slipstream' is part 3 in the revival series of Romeo's Daughter, following 'Rapture' (2012) and 'Spin' (2015). I don't think it's quite as lyrically inventive as their previous work but the riffs and catchy choruses are great. Favourites are "Rumour" and "Everything" which showcase the band's musicianship and Leigh Matty's unfalteringly powerful voice. So glad to have another RD album to decorate the record shelf. Just as introspective as her first EP, Good at Being Young, but the production is even better here. Love the shift in sound, it's a bit more gritty.

Though not her greatest album, Free Spirit features lots of remarkably impassioned performances by Bonnie. It's by far her longest record, clocking in at around 75 minutes. Ballads like 'You're the One', 'Make It Right Tonight' and the hugely underrated 'Given It All' are among its strongest moments, while her Jim Steinman-produced version of 'Making Love (Out of Nothing at All)' stands almost toe-to-toe with her career-defining hit 'Total Eclipse of the Heart'.
