Is it experimental? Not particularly, for JPEGMAFIA's standards at least. I think that a lot of the hate surrounding this album is unwarranted though, probably a result of him tweaking on the internet during the "rollout."
I'm a little disappointed, but the music is still good, great even. Change up the flow more and this is a different story.
I prefer their previous record, but Something Worth Waiting For was amazing nonetheless. Alice and the title track are two of my favorite songs of the year.
This was a slight let down after The Troubles and some great snippets.
Old Freight Train Interlude should not exist. It made me angry on my first listen.
Favorite songs are Weston Super Mare, Let's Link Up and Die, and The Troubles.
A ten minute intro is bold, but a ten minute intro that keeps my interest the whole time is spectacular. Hell for a Basement is a hell of an experience.
