While it lacks a bit of depth in the writing department, the monumental instrumentation more than compensates. It’s a dazzling, atmosphere-forward listen.
Fluorescence finds Maisie Peters leaning harder into acoustic pop, but the result feels repetitive. The songwriting circles the same emotional themes without adding much depth or perspective, and while there are a few catchy moments, most of the record drifts by without leaving a strong impression.
