The user reviews on this are wild. This album was stunning, subtle yet beautiful.
Some of the lyrics feel emo-young, but it still works. The production on this album is incredible though. What a stellar debut
There is nothing too objectionable here, but I just found it to be too boring for me.
Some great hooks, if you love the Get Up Kids there is a lot to enjoy here. But some of the production choices leave me baffled. Union Transfer is an incredible tune, but they turned the gain up so much on Matt's vocals that it starts to crack in a bad way.
The lyricism is on point, the drumless loops are pretty and hypnotic. My only complaint is that there needs to be a bit more musical variety because it all started to meld into one after awhile.
A blending of their early punk roots with the pop sound they have crafted recently. It is their best work since their magnum opus (in my opinion) Evil Friends.
Surprisingly boring for an Armand Hammer project. Some decent bars here but the beats feel so sluggish and stale.
A very compelling break up album. The music hits all the right notes. The lyrics are playfully dramatic, in an endearing sort of way.
Not as consistent as Girl With No Face, but there are still some amazing songs here. The biggest issue is that the mid section lulls a bit, but the beginning few tracks and the last few songs are just so good. I almost wish they let this one cook a bit longer.
Their most consistent album since Missiles. Songs like Our Life and Life is Beautiful are wonderful.
Not as good or cohesive as 1 800 FANTASY, but it is still really enjoyable. Ricky is a banger.
