Best production of any hip hop album this year. Also one of the few hip hop albums this year to attempt an entire theme/aesthetic and Don Toliver executes it brilliantly. His vocals remain almost unmatched in the hip hop scene and his ear for a catchy melody just shines all through the album.

The most underrated Kendrick project. Much better than DAMN from a conceptual standpoint and musical perspective.

Lyrically and narratively this may well be Kendrick's pen back to it's highest level.

The story telling, introspection and world-building done on on this album is second to none, to the point where even the radio friendly joints maintained an incredible level of depth and substance.
