I was honestly a little bit disappointed the first time I listened to the album as a whole on release day. After countless listens I have earned a huge appreciation for Trench. This was my first time listening to something made by Pale Waves, so I naturally didn't have any particular expectations going into this. I just finished it and I can safely say that it was a horrible 50-minute cringe-fest, the songwriting was poor and boring, the structure of the songs was too repetitive. However, I see some hint of potential and I hope they eventually evolve and do something different and original in the future.
The album has a fun and electric energy. Great Debut!
