Gaga is back and she is hitting 2025 with a vengeance of style, class, sound (forward thinking-yet retro to her own back catalogue). Mayhem may not be exactly what the name suggests but it is a good cohesion of where she is as an artist. Listen to: Abracadabra, Disease, How Bad Do U Want Me, Vanish Into You.
How can one describe the beauty in just one album? Just look to Hounds of Love. The second side, The Ninth Wave, is the tragic tale of a woman adrift in the ocean, waiting to be saved. It is just wonderful.
Listen to: Hounds of Love, Running Up That Hill, Cloudbusting, And Dream of Sheep, Under Ice... oh just the whole album!
As far as album sequels go, this one does pretty well in capturing the vibe of the first release, while at the same time maintaining its own independence. Lyrically not the most inventive album but it does the job. Listen to: Kiss Bang Bang, Taboo, Lights Camera Action.
