Still can't believe the dude is 30 but anyways this album just seems very basic for Kenny's standard. Nothing sounds special but its still a solid trap project.
The producing duo is back again this time on a little ep. Wish it was longer but it is what it is. During my first couple of listens I was bopping my head so much that I thought my neck was going to hurt after. THE MAIN EVENT is the only track that doesn't hit for me (the first half just ain't it). This album just sounds like a victory lap from two of the best producers (and rappers too) of recent memory.
At this point, I have no expectations of this man after all the great music he has released previously so everything we are getting now is just a cherry on top and it is one moldy cherry. This is the worst Ye project to date with his worst bars by far and it really makes me think that he should just transition back to being a producer more than anything else. MIKE has been on a Freddie Gibbs-type run with the past three outings and I hope things continue. This project aims to tackle a trap sound that has been done to death and re-fresh it which I think it accomplishes to great success thanks to the contributions from the list of producers, especially Tony Seltzer.
