This album could easily be adapted into a musical; I was truly impressed by some of the tracks and even found it somewhat similar to Janelle Monáe's debut in some aspects. Raye's sophomore album is invigorating and beautiful.
I have no words to describe how bad the experience of listening to this was. Even though it's her most different album and possibly her best album, Melanie doesn't seem to know how to take advantage of the tracks that seemed to have some kind of artistic improvement. Instead, I received an album with poorly used production, silly lyrics, and vocals with ridiculous effects.
It's ridiculous and tacky, but incredibly, it's better than the previous single.
A beautiful song, but that's all it is; it's not something grand, but it's pleasant.
That was genuinely confusing, but it was kind of a good thing.
