Layover

I want to share my personal opinion regarding the newly released album Layover by Kim Taehyung, released on 8th of September. This album was a great surprise for me. I never expected a member of the most famous boy band in the world to deliver an album like Layover. I was suspecting that V had a good voice but during his BTS era he never really had any chance to show his vocal abilities. In layover I enjoyed his perfect baritone voice; rich with emotions and his impeccable intonation.

I like the jazz soul and RnB oriententation of layover. All the songs have a unique musical identity and evoke many emotions. A longing to listen to them again and again as every track has a different impact. The musicality of the songs and V's soothing velvety voice bring in my mind a longing for pure youthful days, and long lost innocence. Artistic, made with love and performed with talent, Layover is the greatest surprise, as it made me understand that music is not only about sales and number but about love talent charisma and love.

What can I say? I am grateful for how Layover has impacted my soul. Thank you, V.
