Obviously people can like what they want but what does it say about the genre when post-rock fans can’t distinguish between the AI-made and human-made music within their own genre? This album was getting a ton of positive reviews on RYM.
Meels shows a lot of potential in this EP. “Out West” is the clear standout on here, but the rest of the EP takes a different route sonically. Although I wish there were other tracks that sounded like “Out West,” there are some other quality tracks such as “Old Mill Valley” and “Marsha June.” Really excited for her next project. Thank you to the Driscoll’s Strawberry ad on TikTok for allowing me to find her.
It’ll grow on me but the stop and go cadence gets tiring real quick. Really wish he’d change that up a bit.
I feel like I like IDK more than most, and this may be his most consistent project yet. Everyone song flows together well, every feature and production choice feels well made. That being said, there are some songs on here that are just not as good as some of the others, but overall, a really nice project.
