I think this ep is underrated. I love the house influences there are considering how Jo was working on a house album at the time that sadly got scrapped. You can hear the influences of house and r&b as well. It’s a nice mix of what she was into at the time while still maintaining her r&b roots with the song thinking out loud and the hip hop ish remix of when love hurts
I feel like this is Jo at her roots with r&b. Even though the songs are covers the production stays true to who she when it comes to r&b. All the songs JoJo has done with da internz are r&b at its core. Sidebar I love the transition in caught up in the rapture with how it starts off as a ballad and then the beat kicks in
I love the production of all the songs. Some of the sounds have an 80s vibe which I love. How to teleport is my favorite. I love the production it has a Latin feel to it which makes the song essentially. All the songs slap
I have good memories around this albums. True 90s r&b and hip hop at its finest. I remember. My way the title track and one day you’ll be mine were my favorites from this album. I loved the chorus of my way as well as the hip hop vibe it had. With odybm I loved the sample beat usher used. It’s the same beat ice cube used in it was a good day.
