Truant Kids is a project I've followed closely over the past few years. It has been nearly three years since we’ve had a full Wonder XO project. As someone who has been a fan of their music and has waited for this next installment in their catalog, I will say it has felt like quite a long time. Off first listen, pretty good album. Is it Tyler’s opus the way igor is? No, and I don’t think he will ever top that record. Is this his most personal and fulfilling to date? Probably. He does a great job at writing these songs in their own vacuum and tying them together in a very much self reflective, Mr Morale esq. record.
