Yeah, this album is perfect to me.

What a change!! This sound is not at all what I was expecting from Mr. Jaar, but I am SO here for it. This album is urgent, intense, beautiful, and so melancholy. I love the shit outta this album.

For me this is a perfectly fine record. There are some bops on The Slow Rush for sure, but it does often feel a bit like a one-trick-pony to me. Regardless, this album is very nice on the ears, and I will definitely be revisiting it.

Side note, do you guys think that the chorus and phaser effects are really overdone on this record? I got so tired of it after a while.

First impression? I love this record. I agree with what chunderz said. This is definitely Dan's most realized project in a long time, and the end result is quite breathtaking to say the least. I am excited to revisit this one many more times!
