Favourite album from my favourite band. Over-hated far too heavily due to it being a step in a different direction from what made Oasis popular. The extended song lengths only add to album for me with All Around the World and DYKWIM always building throughout. While tracks like I Hope, I Think, I Know and My Big Mouth wouldn’t feel out of place in their previous albums. For me it’s the perfect combination of what they did before Be Here Now and their steps away from classic Brit-pop.
Potentially my favourite album of all time. Not a single skip, although, Elizabeth My Dear is fortunate it is so short. An incredibly enjoyable listen from start to finish with excellent guitars and the best vocal work Ian Brown has to offer. My only problem with the album is that it doesn’t have more, with songs such as Mersey Paradise or Elephant Stone not included.
