J. Cole - The Fall-Off

If this is most likely the end to J. Cole's career, I would say it ended on a pretty high note. I am not the biggest J. Cole fan by any means, however I have always respected his ability and talent. This made me excited and nervous for this album. After a few listen's, I can confidently say I really enjoyed this album. The storytelling, reflection, entendres, and wordplay are all of pretty high quality. It is a little long, and some tracks I think were pretty weak in comparison to the ... read more

Daniel Caesar - Son Of Spergy

Daniel Caesar is one of my top 5 favorite artists of all time. After he released Have a Baby (With Me) and announced the album and release date my anticipation was through the roof. Did the album live up to me expectations? Yes, I would say it did. Did it blow me away as his best project ever and one of the best albums of the year? Not fully, however I think this album did exactly what Caesar was trying to accomplish. This album is so emotional and vulnerable. Daniel Caesar's dad being a ... read more

John Michel - Egotrip

John Michel and Anthony James absolutely cooked on this album. The production has so much happening and really keeps me engaged and bopping my head throughout the entirety of the album. The lyricism on this album is incredible as well. John Michel is rapping for real on this thing. The production and the rapping performances together are so heavy and just feel so powerful. This album feels soulful, jazzy, deep, and climatic. The themes of religion, addiction, self righteousness, and pride in ... read more

Jim Legxacy - black british music (2025)

This album is so unique and is just full of different subgenres that Jim Legxacy combines so well. The sampling on this album is amazing and I just love how melodic, catchy, and vibey every song sounds. The afrobeats are heavenly and Jim's flow is so smooth. This album is just full of short bangers that make such a fun listen. All three features are amazing, especially dexter in the newsagent. I have been a fan of here music since 2021, so hearing her on this album is awesome. Overall, ... read more

Chance the Rapper - STAR LINE

The amount of hate and negative reviews this album is getting makes me so mad. Chance the Rapper has received unbelievable amounts of hate for The Big Day (rightfully so). He waited 6 years before dropping this album and it is being treated like it's another Big Day. While this album is far from perfect, I think Chance delivers thoughtful performances and you can tell he put so much effort into this album. The features on this album are great for the most part and Chance brings something ... read more
