This album is absolute perfection. This album encapsulates how incredibly talented is with her lyricism and her creativity. Every track is spectacular, and is impeccable listening from top to bottom. If you do not understand the hype around Taylor or do not know where to start with her discography, i would try this album out.
What a beautiful album. Sufjan does a great job at explaining depression and grief through lyrics. Lyricism wise, this album is perfect with every line of every song. His voice is very soft which allows the lyrics he is singing to cut deeper. I did find that the songs started to sound similar but that is not a negative thing, i believe that it beautifully conveys the theme of the album and the vision he created when making it. i
overall pretty decent album, the good songs are VERY good but the lower ranking songs are very low. I love how her upbeat songs make me wanna dance while adding more emotional songs such as nostalgia and purple lace bra, which are also incredible songs. Lyricism wise it is a little lackluster but i do think that she has creative ideas, just not the greatest production of it.
Favorites: Miss possessive, Sports car, No im not in love
Least favorites: Means i care, Greenlight, Revolving door
super great and fun album, but i found some songs fell short. Songs such as dont worry ill make you worry and we almost broke up again felt slightly lackluster for me but on the other hand, songs such as tears and house tour were very fun and exciting to hear. i was also happy to hear more of Sabrina's comedic side into her songs and how much fun she had creating it. overall id give it a 75/100
