I can't decide if this album is better or worse than the first one. There are certainly songs that are more interesting than the songs on the first album, like Half Past Three and I Stitched My Mind Back to My Body, which I think are really cool. This is really cool. The sound design is intricate and fun, especially in the first half. Every song puts an interesting image in your mind. Wriggle is the best song. It and Come Along can best be described as the fairies trying to get you to join them through their parade. Egg and Soldier sounds like it's about a giant lamenting his past.

This album ain't deep but it's very fun. The closer and the start are equally cool. I need more emo music now. Brendon’s vocals are not the best here but hey, it's better than High Hopes. It did make me curious about what the live versions would sound like.
I have searched high and low for lyrics half as interesting as these: The Ballad of Mona Lisa, Let's Kill Tonight and Turn Off the Lights.
