Section.80 / 100. This album is an incredible debut album that shows off Kendrick's traditional yet unique style and really brings him out to be an upcoming star. It's a perfect length album especially for it's quality, good, but it's not revolutionary, which is what helped Kendrick grow as an artist, really improving on the criticism this album first got, which wasn't a lot as the production - flawless, lyrics - flawless. I do find this album to not have the Kendrick hooks or verses that we get nowadays, they feel a lot weaker and as if he tried to do the basics, as some of the features did overshadow him. But overall a really, really solid album.
