I really really wanted to love this
I’ve been a Lorde fan for the longest time, Melodrama is the album that genuinely got me into music and the art of music, and I know that’s the same for a lot of you as well. I don’t want to compare this to Melodrama too much, but the comparisons are inevitable when you release your magnum opus as your sophomore album.

I had like 0 good expectations for this album, first of all cause it's MARINA and because a bulk of this album is produced by CJ Baran, who's production catalogue includes Nessa Barrett and Melanie Martinez's latest albums. Chappell is one of those artists that just come out of nowhere but pave their own lane and bring something very good and interesting to the table. She gets compared to Gaga quite a bit, and I don't think their music is similar, but they both just came out with these insane looks and persona and overall are just authentically themselves.
