Kendrick shoes his ability to make hits and have a message, While not groundbreaking for Kendricks career and probably his weakest album narratively, This is still a powerful and catchy experience which is leagues above most other people in hip-hop.
Pathetic cries over an acoustic guitar. The bands name holds accurate as were song interpersonal songs about sex, Love, Abuse and manipulation which come off as self loathing and self aware. Most notably on the song "Leech boy"
This classic album combines clever songwriting with catchy instrumentation and chorus, Definitely one of the hidden gems from the 90s. Themes of self isolation and alienation from society hold truer than today than back in 1997.
While nothing about the sound of this album is bad aside from the modern em choppy flow
Eminem tries to push a pretty interesting concept with almost no. success in conveying that concept well and clarifying the 2 characters which this album tries to analyze. Had opportunity but even outside of the cringe lyrics there is very little meat to bite into, even if emersed in the concept
