Shallow tween pop.
The lyrics to all the songs are the simplest of simple love songs, without any feeling or personality. Moreover, the vapid lines are repeated often. Repetition isn't necessarily bad, but in this case it only serves to reemphasize the complete meaninglessness of this album.
It's also musically empty much in the same way the lyrics are. Maybe these boys are just too young with too little life experience to give their songs depth.

Possibly my favorite BTS album. I love the artsyness of this offering, as well as the fact that each member gets a solo song to show off his talents and showcase his individuality.
The title track, "Blood, Sweat and Tears" isn't totally my thing, but it does a good job of tying the album together. Literally, because it's the first song on the album in which all members sing or rap, and musically, as it sets the tone for what I feel is a somewhat experimental album.
