Paramore

Paramore switch up with the self titled and it is a breath of fresh air that was greatly needed. This is the start of what really made me fall in love with the band. The opener Fast in My Car still shows they can do a rock sound but adding in more pop elements that really give it a more distinct sound. The interludes on this are so chipper and fun it feels like a real bright spot whenever they pop in on the track list. Past releases have been brought down by some real throw away songs I struggle to remember an hour after I heard them, but every song here has its own unique feel to it. Every single one stands out and sticks in your mind. A real triumphant project that showed not only is Paramore still a band, but they’re better than ever.
