One of the greatest and most influential prog rock album, every track sounds different from eachother, and different from 3 minutes before in the same track. A delightful listening experience
An album that tops off an already great year for Kendrick, this serves as a great introduction to listeners gained during the beef with Drake that looms over this album, making it a true victory lap. Catchy tracks like Squabble Up and TV Off, another amazing collab with SZA in Luther, and Lyricism in Reincarnated proves that it truly was "Just the big me".
The raw sound of this album may be offputting to listeners of their later work, but it truly delivers the raw angst of watching a tragedy occur before your eyes. Sunsets over Monroville, Skylines and Turnstiles, are some of my favorite tracks the band produced, and Demolition Lovers is my favorite closing track of all time.
While this album doesn't have the supreme storytelling of Black Parade or the raw vocals of Bullets, it is still a truly great album with a memorable track list
