NLE Choppa got 2 little gold circles on his chin from sucking DT's spray tan cock. Mf'er doesn't get what it means to be a baller. He figure u r what u eat so if he wanna be a baller he better be suckin' some ball sacks. Imagine being so fuckin' beta that you bow down to a bitch like DT. What tf kinda hood raise this dumbass up.
My first quick reaction to "Man On The Moon" was that I was getting shades of Civil Twilight and War on Drugs. There’s an emotional intensity to the song that moves their sound out of anything Pop or Country adjacent and straight into Adult Contemporary. On "21" we get the banjo and heavier British accent which invites Mumford comparisons, but it’s a shallow comparison.
These guys were in training to be engineers before the band took off. It sounds like they ... read more
I'm sure this has been beat to death by now, but I wish I had listened to Ava and not clicked play. I feel like someone at the label jokingly suggest the title because they thought it was garbage and Ava’s dumbass thought it was “perfect!”. Then everyone laughed behind her back.
Alright, now for the music. Club clubbing at the club! This is generic af which is usually the point of this type of music, but there's generic, and then there's just bad and boring. ... read more
It always kind of annoys me when bands turn an entire song into an intro. "Thorns" isn’t really formed as a stand-alone song; it’s the intro to the album. By my definition, intros should be short and introductory. It drags the album to start and leaves me with the feeling like I'm waiting for the actual album to start. It's an ok track, but I'm never going to cue up an intro on purpose, this intro track will only ever get listened to if I choose to listen to ... read more
The start of the Buckingham / Nicks era, the process of making this album turned Fleetwood Mac into a hit making juggernaut. Not as complete as Rumours, but still a very good album that almost plays like a "Best Of..." with so many well known songs on it.
How am I just now noticing that the bass notes in "Rhiannon" and "Rhiannon (Will You Ever Win)" are in a different key? Is it the same recording mixed differently, or did they re-record for the single version? ... read more
This was a pleasant surprise! There were a few tracks on PRATTS & PAIN that I enjoyed, so I expected to like some of their new album hickey, but this exceeded my expectations. They have a Shoegazey undertone that reminds me of The Cure or Cocteau Twins, but with a slightly faster more pop oriented lean. As the album progresses, they take that Shoegaze lean and stretch it to its limits. Disco, funk, and even some 70's AM Gold work their way onto the edges of Royal Otis's sound. ... read more
Some fantastic underground Rock from the early/mid 90's. Seriously, one of the best "Non-Grunge" rock albums to come out of the 90's. After this album their sound changes considerably; not for better or worse, just different.
So many good memories attached to this album; still can sing along to every song word for word. There was one time stoned out of my mind, drunk, and trippin' on LSD; two friends and I decided to see how many rotations I could get out of my ... read more
* “Song” - Playlisted song that didn’t completely suck
First things first, I'm not happy they used my original review for an album title. Now I have to type sentences.
--"All Of The Woods" -- Chaotic Magdelena Bay wanna be hyper-pop adjacent garbage. You seriously started the album with THIS? Fuck you Flume.
--"Monsoon"-- Emma's vocals are alright. Heads up to the gal though. Most men don't actually love; they position, covet, use, take, ... read more
One of the best albums ever made, and Portisheads second best album. If you've only ever listened to this band through earbuds; fuck you. Get off your lazy ass and quit spending money on stupid shit. Buy yourself a cheap used amp and some old cheap speakers; then turn this shit up until the amp catches on fire and the speakers blow out in an orgasm of sonic awesome.
(Same day) EDIT: Had to drop it down from 100 - 95. Forgot how much I hated "Half Day Closing"

---- *Song*= Playlisted song that didn’t completely suck
"All Hands on Deck" - Poetic, self-reflective. West Coast Sleaford Mods
"Aftermath - Edit" - Intentionally off-key. Normally when something is off key it sounds like shit. No exceptions here.
"Smile" - Fucking Tik-Tok length songs. Fuck all these lame ass chasers. Is this your product or your art.
"Sandman" - Now all I can hear is a grown man sucking an algorithms cock.

I did not care for this album. I'm leaving work soon and I only write reviews when I'm being paid, so I'm just going to fire off some song notes. Some advice for this album, it all flows like it's one big 35-minute song. Make sure you've got GAPLESS PLAYBACK turned on to get the full effect.
"Sacrifice" has an early '90s R&B sound with a more modern vocal cadencing. That cadence sounds stilted though, like she forced it into the beat. It ... read more
The music world would be so much richer in artistry if not for small passenger planes.
He achieved artistic immortality with 5 albums over 11 years. The muses weep for what could have been.
"Break My Stride" is quintessential '80s earworm music. Upbeat and positive lyrics bolstered by those truncated attacking quarter notes on the synth. Unfortunately, it's all downhill after the lead single.
"The Kid's American" and "I Don't Speak The Language" are quintessentially bad '80s garbage music; and carry some of the worst tropes of that era with them.
I feel like there are a few songs one here, "World Of The Rich And ... read more
The first time I ever listened to this was in the back seat of my girlfriends '92 Chevy Corsica. I had just installed two 10" subs, four 6" mids, two 6x9's, a pair of tweeters, an amp, a crossover, a new car CD player, and this album as a gift. We dropped some acid with our friends and got way too messed up to do anything but sit and listen to this on 11. Because of the trip, this album left a permanent mark on my brain. Not sure if that mark is a reminder of better times, ... read more
The thing that amazes me most about Pink Floyd is how average their musicianship is. Solidly professional, but not otherworldly like a Santana or Neil Peart. Their greatness is in the phenomenal arrangements, lyrics, tone and composition.
I always assumed it was the inherent beauty of the song, but I never bothered to unpack it so I'm not sure if there's more to it; for 40 years (I was late to Meddle) "Fearless" has brought a tear to my eye.
Mac kinda sounds like he took this one off. He has a "lazy, laid back" style, but that's not my issue. The album is full of over-simplified chord progressions and a regression in his prose; everything sounds mailed in. Be that as it may, I still kind of like it. I know his last few albums have been light on guitar playing by Mac as he's been applying his signature sound to keys more often than strings. I wonder if this was a response, or gift to the people who were ... read more
The album starts with a strong operatic opening; then it all goes to hell.
I never thought you could mesh "Core" music with Classical music and get something good, but after listening to Igorrr's album Hallelujah, I am certain you can't. At times the electronic grindcore meshes up with the operatic singing, or the violin concerto, or the choral singers; and it sounds ok. Mostly though, it doesn’t, and it just ends up being a cacophony of noise with a vague timing to ... read more
There's an instantly recognizable British pop beat to start, it almost has a New Wave gone Pop sound.
Some of the songs held up ok like "Don't Call Me Baby" and "I Say Nothing", others are still stuck in the 1980's.
I wonder it was difficult for Daniel Woodgate to go from playing ska punk with The Madness to doing New Wave Pop. The tours must have been night and day different between the two bands.
This album is barely hanging on to relevancy. It's ... read more
This is one of the best AOTY member albums I've heard yet. Instead of leaning into a single sound or genre, it feels more like a self-exploration. An artist allowing themselves to explore different aspects of their music and by extension, themselves. A shape that isn't yet fully formed yet, but you can see some of the edges beginning to settle into place. Because of that exploration, there is a remarkable amount of variance to the songs. The start of "I Hope July Never ... read more
The beauty of a person, a culture, an art form, and a language all wrapped into one. There's so much nuance and depth to this album that it's a shame my Spanish is so bad. That's nobody's fault but my own. As an example of the unique artistry found on Dejenme Llorar; on "Me Encanta" I'm picking up 6-7 tracks. A layered synth, the percussion, and Carla singing; then it gets interesting. An accordion, a man saying "chupa-chupa" in a soft breathy voice ... read more
