Ye tackles his disability with pride, throughout emotional and exciting tracks. My only takeaway is the length of the album and the 1 or 2 slight misses on the record.
Pretty good album coming from prime Kanye, very unpredictable and the production is on another level, I shed a tear first time i heard Ultralight Beam. Also just thought i should mention that the bonus tracks are fucking life changing, i miss the old Kanye man.
I absolutely LOVE the pure rap and industrial style Kanye took on in this album. In my opinion nobody will ever be able to perfect this sound again.
This album has it’s highs and lows, and could’ve been so much different if the absolutely iconic duo weren’t trying to prove something that was already obvious, which is them being at the top of the game. There’s still some great tracks they made with that idea in mind. But i wish they were more free and just kept their own iconic sounds. Although my criticisms are very true to me, this album still turned out okay and is this very well above just a decent album.
Despite this record’s influence, the bland instrumentals and mostly autotune vocals don’t sit right with me. There’s definitely a few good tracks I pulled from this album though. Plus the benefit that I’ve cried to this whole album after someone broke up with me lmao.
If i’m being honest, I think Graduation is heavily overrated, and i don’t really come back to it often. However, I love West’s energy on the whole album and there’s a lot of bangers on this one, it’s just a bit too pop inspired and doesn’t compensate with his previous 2 projects.
Also Good Night isn’t even on AOTY even though it’s literally top 1 Graduation???
couple of slight misses, although this record was way ahead of it’s was ahead of its time, being recorded with a 20 piece orchestra. honestly a little bit of an underrated album in ye’s catalog.
Greatest debut of all time, still changing the game after over 20 years.
not as bad as i thought it would be, not that good either, i think this man will improve later on.
The year is 2009, Kanye West is on top of the world, hits like Gold Digger, Heartless and Slow Jamz being played all over the radio. Around the same time young artist Taylor Swift’s album “Fearless”, had just went platinum, with tracks like You Belong With Me and Love Story dominating charts.
Later that year, Taylor wins her first big award at the MTV Video Music Awards, winning the Best Music Video of the Year category, and every one seems happy for Taylor, but ... read more
holy repetitive, i mean seriously if youre gonna try to make music with meaning dont have boring production and bland lyrics where youre telling people about youre dick and expect them to get it right off the bat
genuinely horrible, waters took a masterpiece and turned it into a piece of utter garbage that is almost unlistenable. every track sounds almost nothing like the original record. why does this exist? also why does he say “money” like that?
