I got into Bowie about 4 years too late, however, he was my first true musical experience. The first real album I listened to in full and remembered was Ziggy Stardust and it made me the musician I am today. since, I was behind on Bowie, I chose to listen to his essential albums first (none of what people consider to be the crap) and then listen to Blackstar finally. This album is Bowie coming to grips with his own mortality, and his soon coming death. This album opened my mind and made me realize how precious life and people are. godspeed.
