For a first album this is a very strong start. The album offers many catchy but profound tunes, showing off their signature blend of new wave, latin percussion, and gothic rock among others.
Many of their hits off this album have stood the test of time and are fondly remembered today. Their version of La Negra Tomasa on the reissue, an old cuban song from the 30s, is a very good example of a song that drags on but in a really good way.
