This collab album between Drain Gang collective artists Bladee and Ecco2k is an interesting blend of art pop and someone like Bladee’s style of cloud rap. Exploring lyrical themes like religion and death with ethereal vocals, deeply layered production from Whitearmor and a generally upbeat mood, it is an otherworldly experience. It may not be Bladee nor Ecco’s best work, or even that connected to the rest of their projects, but it is still worth a very fair shake.

in just a half hour and spare, underscores’ debut has a special vision, remaining genuine while jumping from slow and somber to fast and erratic. with a very well done production job, underscores executes the sonics beautifully, but it may falter some on the cohesiveness and lyrical end. a lovely example of a fun yet honest project!
