being ambitious and experimental or whatnot is one thing, but just making 30 minutes of mostly shit with barely any redeeming qualities does not warrant calling this album okay, let alone good.

people exaggerating how bad it is as always. in what world is "DAMN" a 48?
This album isn't bad but it doesn't have a whole lot going for it. Sometimes the instrumentals sound too loud, and sometimes the vocals are way too quiet. The only standout track is Darlin'.
Though obviously, this album didn't come out in a great period for the Beach Boys, so it's pretty alright, all things considered.
The first side of the album is definitely some of the Beatles' least interesting. The second side makes up for it with some of their most iconic singles. Penny Lane is definitely my favorite track on this album.
But overall, this album is just pretty decent.
very good album overall, don't think it's one of Kendrick's best or that it'll end up being remembered as one, but it has its highlights. favorite songs are luther and reincarnated
