I do appreciate the story that is being presented in this album, but I do think that each of the songs on this album sound better on their own. I feel as though the story drags the listening slightly, but it's still enjoyable.
I could not make myself to listen to this whole album, but of what I did hear, it was fairly decent. I think I was hoping for something else, after four years. Maybe if there wasn't such a break between releases I would be kinder with my listening.
I had previously listened to Gorillaz, but this is the era that I really got into them. I thoroughly enjoyed this album, with "Tarantula" and "Tormenta" being my favorite songs. Of all of their albums I've listened to so far, this is my favorite by Gorillaz.
All of the songs on 𝘊𝘏𝘙𝘖𝘔𝘈𝘒𝘖𝘗𝘐𝘈 are very well made, however, I do not believe that they all fit the album. While I do like "Sticky" and "Balloon," they feel out of place with the rest of the songs on the setlist. Overall, I do believe that this is an incredible album, and one of Tyler the Creator's best, but it does have a few out of place songs.
Having watched his videos for a while, this album does a great job at extending the comedic raps that he has made. Each song is a great parody for each of their respective styles. My favorite is "POP SONG (You Like Me, Right?)," while my least favorite is "STOMP." I am excited to see what Zay Dante releases next!
