Very mixed bag, bit its highlights- atmospheric and ethereal- are up there with Drake's best. It certainly showcases both sides of his artistic journey, for better or for worse.

The first two songs are legit really great (Laughing To The Bank Chief Keef mention!?!?). Aaand that's about it, it just falls of a cliff. Features really just add nothing much and it descends into the most generic trap rap possible. If you asked AI to generate a 21 album this is what it would sound like.
Mainstream rap is dead. I really decided to listen to this rather than the Nas album and I have class in 10 minutes. Really bad decision by me.
Key Glock has become one of the better and most underrated voices in the trap scene. This was on par with the original.
Look I appreciate Metro for going back to the 2000's ATL sound but unfortunately it's 2025 and it was never going to work. Sure there are moments where it is very fun but ultimately bloated for days. The rapping is very subpar as well. Very underwhelming.

The second installment of the GODS NETWORK EP miniseries. Like the first nothing too special, good rapping and some solid beats. Features are fine as well. Overall a good project.

Swanky White is so beautiful and then the song ends and the beat to Supeflee started and HOLY. Chills. The hook on Highroller is kinda iffy but Ferg slid though. Also his analogy of his mind to browser tabs might genuinely be the smartest thing I've ever heard.

At this point in time it feels like Mexican OT is just a go-to feature artist and not much more. Never in my life would I have thought that I'd listen to an ode to water as beautiful and as heartfelt as Just A Drop. This album is the equivalent of a two hour flight over majestic views plagued by heavy turbulence in the middle of the flight, but acing the take off and landing procedures. 10% better and we would be taking about an AOTY contender. Still, this finds Chance in his best state in years, hopefully kickstarting a second career prime.

The best Westside Gunn project since the B side of HWH 8 by far. 12 was good but nothing special. This is great. Like really really great. Dark, nasty and laid back, some of Gunn's best rapping in years. I have to say I thought Griselda was in a bit of a slump as a collective but this just blowed that out of the water. Also this Brother Tom Sos dude snaps on every song he's on.

Supposedly this was going to be the start of Babys' big comeback. Didn't happen. Even his flows which always where the best part of his music failed to leave any type of impression. With that said I actually think that while nowhere near a good album, it's actually underrated and was already written off before it even came out. Still awaiting the comeback though.

I've been a defender of Gunna for his last few albums. While incredibly repetitive there were a good amount of songs with replay value and his flow was just diverse enough to make it worth the time. This time around, it descends even from the first quarter into a snoozfest really. Disappointing is an understatement. Not Gunna's best by any stretch of the imagination.

Offset might be my favorite Migo. His flow is really underrated. With that said, the front third of the album is actually genuinely very good. It eventually descends into pretty mid territory, resurfacing for a bit in the last third. It's a shame Offset can't keep the quality up for the entirety of a project. When and if that happens (hopefully on his album next week), he would have a claim for the most under appreciated mainstream rapper.

This is smooth, chill and exquisitely produced but yall have to be realistic about this. Nowhere near a 9/10 album. The vocals and lyrics still need a lot of work, and while they've gotten better over the years, they still lack. With that said Quadeca is really underrated as an artist in general, hindered by the whole YouTube rapper ideology. Massive potential and hopefully breaks into the mainstream soon.

He lost me at XXX. Any credibility was lost during that song. The singles released prior to the album where the best tracks, so the rest of the album was really mediocre. Also major points deduction for the tracklist being 30 FUCKING SONGS. Cmon man.

Out of all the albums that where to release this week, I was most hyped up for this. The sequel to a top 5 rap album of 2020. I will say while the beats from the Alchemist are as always just plain beautiful, the flows on this are nowhere near as varied as its predecessor. Still, Freddie flows effortlessly with charisma and a nastiness few rappers possess. Really really strong, though not as great as the first.
