Wu-Tang Clan - Black Samson, the Bastard Swordsman
78

I'm going to be honest—I didn't expect much going into this, even though I had heard some good things about it.
But it turns out I was wrong—this is pretty great.

We get solid production from legendary producer Mathematics (some beats are better than others) and good verses from various Wu-Tang members.
The listening experience was also pretty enjoyable.

The only song I didn’t really enjoy was "Shaolin vs. Lama." Even though I know these verses are from ... read more

billy woods - GOLLIWOG

How Can Someone Be This Educated?
Billy Woods is different.

What this guy is able to do with the English language is honestly mind-blowing. I spent well over two hours on my first listen of this album, and I probably didn’t even catch or fully understand 1/8 of the bars. Billy Woods speaks about the problems of the world and the current state of things in a way that’s so complicated but also well put together, it’s hard to even fathom everything he’s trying to say on ... read more

MIKE - Pinball II

It’s just incredible how versatile MIKE is—he can fit on pretty much any production and make it work. This album had some great, very creative production from Tony Seltzer. One thing, though, is that sometimes he did a bit too much with the tags. MIKE is really solid throughout and very smooth on the beats. This album features great performances from artists such as Niontay and Earl Sweatshirt.

The songs alone might have warranted a lower rating, but I significantly upgraded my ... read more

Clipse - Lord Willin'

The Debut Album from the legendary hip-hop duo Clipse, consisting of Malice and Pusha-T brings an insane amount of confidence from both artist to the fore front wich is paired by great production by another legendary duo, The neptunes consisting of Pharell Williams and Chad Hugo.
The most popular Song ,and also the highest rated one, is "Grindin'" Wich in my opinion is actualy the worst song on here, wich doesnt mean its bad. I find the Production on it super uninspired and ... read more

Common - One Day It'll All Make Sense

Commons 3rd Album is Great all around, great production throughout the entirety of the 1 hour and 10 minutes, there are fun Tracks but also a lot of introspective, deep songs with some of the best writing out there, the only thing i can say bad about this album is its lenght is a bit over the top.
Best Song: Retrospect for Life (8.9/10)
"Worst " Song: My City (7.4/10)
Favorite Songs: Reminding me & Stolen Moments Part III (Both 8.8/10)
Rating might change in the future
