Some incredible songs on here but most are just pretty good to me. I find the production on tracks like Sweet Life and Monks to be somewhat ill-fitting. Still I highly recommend this album. There’s a lot to like.

Perhaps influenced by what I know Quadeca to be capable of after having heard his latter works first, my feelings towards From Me to You are mixed. Blown away by the range on display here. The production is really good and everything sounds great, though there are some moments that don’t quite hold up to the rest. I’m expecting I’ll change my score somehow when I listen again but it’s a really good album, definitely lives up to my personal hype.

Excellent performances across the board here. Compositionally it does well to alter more traditional jazz and funk to be both experimental and venerable. The sound palette and production retain good clarity while keeping the in your face stage performance feel I think it was going for. Good time.
