This is my Favorite Album Ever. In a span of 14 tracks Porter Robinson was able to create something so deeply- human that it resonates me on all levels. Nurture is loud, noisy, glitchy, and lush. Porter transcends you to his world from the opening and keeps you there till the very end. Nurture delves deep into the psyche of Porter exploring such themes like depression, creative burnout, love, and what art means to him. Each track is carefully crafted from the spellbinding opening track ... read more
It’s actually quite good. Nothing crazy compared to Ye’s old discography but still it’s better than anything since Donda. It’s not a very ambitious album but it has its moments and genuinely that is all that matter. I know it’s very easy to hate on Ye and yes he deserves it most of the time. By the time he was 22, he dropped Worlds. Looking back now, even if it does not feel as polished as Nurture or Smile, Worlds completely ... read more
70 --> 80 really grew on me.
Revengeseekerz, on first listen, just sounds like random noises mashed together with vocals, with all the fundamentals of music seemingly disregarded. I can already imagine the average hip-hop fan or even a classical fan trying to listen to this; it might come across as some of the worst music in existence. I’ve always loved hyperpop and electropop, and even for me, on first listen, it felt like too much.
However, after giving it some time, I think this ... read more
