Alright this is the one album that gets the most attention and praise. I have listened to "A Faint Signal" many times before and is the reason why I am familiar with this artist. I was scrolling through Tik Tok at like 2am on a Saturday night. I landed on a very whimsical slideshow post that was like thirty pictures of fairies, unicorns, all kinds of fairy tale things with that song playing in the background.

Here's an example-

To say I had chills was an understatement. I love everything to do with whimsy fantasy since its seems like such a pleasant place to explore with fantastical creatures within an ancient mushroom forest. It's a huge reason why one of the things in my bucket list is to go to Hoh rainforest at Olympic National Park. I also want to visit Redwood and Sequoia National Parks cause old trees fascinate me, and big ones fill me with awe. I just love fantastical concepts. So anything that reminds me of these things are instantly amongst my absolute favorite things.

This album is more than "A Faint Signal" and my passion for the fantasy esthetic. There's a whole 23 other tracks and I am going to give my thoughts on each and every one of them. Hopefully this album is as good as it's reputation.

The Descent:
I love the violins and the rising and falling chimes. It gives me the vision of a fairy fast asleep on an oak leaf. Very cute little tune. Almost a minute in a guitar joins in and plucks a simple melody. The track is a real humble start to this album that eases the listener into a fantastical journey they will never forget.

Under the City:
We have a piano playing a simple tune with some soft white noise. A very straightforward track like most what Infinity Frequencies has to offer. It's your reaction to these things is what makes them so effective ( or not, I can totally see why people would think that this is dumb and boring.) I didn't get much out of this one either, but I know there will be tracks that just instantly strikes me at the soul.

Replica Encounter:
Like this one. I know that it's just a distant piano playing a simple tune repeated over and over again, but I find it so hypnotic and fascinating. It gives me a certain undescribable feeling the more I listen to it. Things like this is why I find Infinity's music so captivating. My logic says that it's a straight forward song that isn't very interesting, but something else inside of me is absolutely in love with it! My logic finds that contrast interesting and looks at this song from a different lense. Truly fascinating stuff!

Between Two Worlds:
This is the first one that hit me with that surrealist feeling. The title of the song combined with the whirring violin and the piano only playing three notes in a quick manner just left me floating into space. Somewhere between two worlds with an undescribable amount of feelings washing over my body over the grand sight that I am witnessing.

Synthetic Remains:
More of the haunting repetitive piano and white noise. It's fine but does nothing for me unfortunately.

A similar Thought:
Ok this one hit though. I just love the pulse of the music like a heartbeat of an elf. It's simple and causes wonder to my soul! Great stuff.

Deleted Space:
Hmm interesting. A dingy piano doing itd thing, then Halfway through it becomes more dingy and distant. Like a deleted file slowly fading from memory. A simple, tragic tale captured beautifully in this tune.

As it Stands:
I get the same haunting feeling from this as listening to part 1 of Everywhere at the end of time. A not so comfortable place to be at, but not too distressing. Very effective piece that instantly brought up that dreadful feeling.

Isolated Structure:
Now this tune is straight from a liminal space video. It definitely feels like you are completely alone and slightly confused about your surroundings. How long have you been here? How far have you wondered around? How old is this place? Why is it so damn quiet? You haven't even seen a rat or a roach here. You don't like the eerie feeling building up inside so you stop thinking and continue down this unexplainably long and dimly lit hallway.

Fading Energy:
A slightly menacing drone. Nothing else to it. You got to do more than that to impact me.

A Sequence of Numbers:
More of the Piano with a ting tonging of IDK synths? A bit of slight eerieness but otherwise a unremarkable tune.

Another Disturbance in Time:
A harp beautifully playing a melody to give a whimsical airy atmosphere. I have a soft spot for this kind of thing, so I automatically love this simple tune.

Abandoned Earth:
More haunting piano with some dude saying something along the lines of "look at us" or something. Interesting but ineffective to me at least.

Obsolete Request:
I'm noticing A LOT of piano in this album. Was there always so much piano in the other albums? I was too caught up in my feelings to critique what I was listening to. Mostly just vibing. This is an ok track but pretty whatever. I want a different instrument please, the piano is getting tiresome.

A Curious Orb of Light:
Hah. That title is just asking for my imagination to go wild. The whimsical chimes doesn't help either. I see, well an orb of light wandering around the enchanted forest. It looks to be following a human visitor that looks to be of aged 5 to 7. The child was playing hide and seek in the woods but wondered in too far and landed here where not even adult humans belong. So this curious orb keeps an eye on the innocent child and the surroundings to make certain that the locals don't get any funny ideas.

The orb tries to guide the child back to the edges of this great forest, but the kid ignores it. The child saw a hint of a goblin a while back and is chasing the distant ruffling of leaves ahead. Goblins aren't always very nice so the Orb is starting to get a bit desperate in it's chimes of warnings to the kid.

Memory Limitations in Artificial Intelligence:
Eh, it's just synths pulsing slowly. Nothing all that special.

The Room with No Door:
Again a title that gives a striking visual and questions to go along with it. The harp gives up an air of mystic and mysteries. Leaving the listener all kinds of curious about this certain room with a questionable construction.

Drifting:
This is a surprisingly lively tune. Like an old time television jingle. For an obscure product that leaves you tempted to buy cause when else are you going to have a chance to buy something so unique?

No Escape:
An ominous title with some ominous chimes to give an ominous feeling that you are here to stay for the rest of your remaining days...

Simulated Recurrence:
A repetition of someone singing "ahh" and some backing synths in the back. Eh, not really feeling this one.

A Faint Signal:
The definition of whimsy. It immediately transports me to an enchanted forest with fairies, unicorns and all sorts of wondrus creatures that humanity could never even begin to imagine. This world is so magical that you can taste it. You wish to remain here forever, but alas it's only a visit that only very special humans could arrive at. And it's almost impossible to find your way here again if you tried to come on your own terms instead of the forest god's.

You Remember Being Here:
Holy shit this album is looking to finish on a strong note. That fucking title and the mysterious and otherworldly music to accompany it is so impactful to the emotion and imagination. The piano and white noise makes a strong return that left me in awe of this hauntingly familiar place. I thought it was a dream but reality couldn't be more stark. I am left confused and in wonder at the same time as I take my time to take in my surroundings.

The Time that Remains:
My goodness this is so good. A strong reminder that the life you live in is so precious and the time you have even more so. The Time that remains is always slowly draining away regardless of what you do with this life. So cherish each moment like it's your very last. Because one day it may very well will be your last. You are more blessed than you could ever know, so love more than you could ever be loved cause we all know that this culture needs more of it.

Unraveling:
We close things off with the piano. A simple melody to gently send the listener back to reality after this grand adventure into fantasy lands beyond imagination. As the unraveling of reality comes into fold you are rejuvenated and is ready to partake on the challenges and rewards of life on this troublesome planet once more. It's not going to be easy facing everything life has to offer, but you are always welcome back into this place between two worlds whenever you need it the most. Until next time dear traveler.

So that was "Between Two Worlds" by Infinity Frequencies. Does it live up to the hype? Yes and no. While there are moments that are left to be desired, there are moments that are undescribable! I definitely recommend you check out this album for yourself. I think that it's great but not Infinity's finest work overall despite it having some of the most impactful songs within it. I still really enjoyed myself with it and hope you do as well!
