1000 followers celebration extravaganza!

Well, well, well. Look at where little o'l me has stumbled upon. A thousand internet strangers volunteered to my page and decided for whatever reason to click on that follow button.

This has been a milestone that has been a goal of mine since I first made that Faust review back in early May of last year. Over 1200 reviews and tens of thousands of tracks listened to later the fateful day has arrived. And when I woke up this morning to see the big 1K on my page, all I could think of is how grateful and fortunate to be in such a position. Then I got ready for work, because adult priorities are a bitch. Now that I am back in my humble abode this Friday evening of August 2nd of the year 2024 I am ready to begin the celebration that I developed and waited for almost four months ago when I realized this occasion was coming up in the near future.

You may have realized that, yes there are six parts of this celebration with five being the plan but this one is more spontaneous.
I decided while eating my peanut buttered bagel this morning to look at which account was my lucky 1000th follower. I have celebrated previous milestones ( 69 and I think 100 followers. IDK, but too lazy to look up to be certain of it.) by going to the lucky follower and giving them the freedom to recommend ANY album, EP, or even a single and I would prioritize it as my next review.

This is happening once more for this milestone and the lucky follower didn't have their shoutbox activated. So I went with the 1001st follower @Serinsarp for his recommendation. Of course he picked this album that I should be reviewing right now but is yapping away on bullshit. Since this album is very much acclaimed and is in the qualifying top 100 user ratings for my long term project I would usually reject the request since I don't want to cross any red lines I set up for myself. BUT you only have 1000 followers once, so screw the petty rules, let's listen to this shit NOW!

So this is that big sexy innovative influential sampledelia supreme album that gets the music nerds creaming their pants at the mere mention of its existence. Let's ignore what the masses say and think about what the special boy here thinks about it.

Very satisfying, soothing, intelligent and, well good. Yeah nothing original here is being said, but what can I say that already hasn't been? I just enjoy listening to good music and this is good music so my thumbs up and applause join the thousands that have occurred up to this point by the masses of music nerds around the world.

Do I think it's perfect, well you only need to look at my rating above to see the answer. But that's such a lofty peak for music to reach for me. Especially these days as my requirements are evolving ever stricter as I become more familiar with music that truly blows my mind at just how amazing it is front to back. So whilst this album isn't amongst my very favorites it's still very much up there with just how well crafted it is and how satisfying/pleasurable to listen to it is. This album is a classic for a reason and my humble positive opinion being added to the pile only further solidifies that thinking as general consensus of the music world. It has aged wonderfully and can be listened to multiple times without getting old. All this to say, the music is good and if for whatever reason you may have not listened to it as of yet, take this review as your sign to give it a try and give it your own perspective of how it may or may not appeal to your specific taste. That's what this site is all about and I am always happy to see all kinds of opinions go on and on with my ever updating feed.
