Tom I love ya but sometimes I find your unique voice to be downright grating to hear. Sometimes it works, especially if it fits the vibe of the unique creative instrumentation. Or if there's a bluesy feel where that kind of vocal style is commonly associated with. When it works, it really works. And this album is beautifully crafted regardless of my petty opinions and you should be proud of how it turned out and the acclaim it has received. At first as I was listening through the initial tracks, I wasn't in agreement with what you were providing and thought this was going to be another example of me not connecting with your work. As the experience went along I actually warmed up quite well actually and grew more appreciative of the craftsmanship and your unique voice was hitting for me. There's a lot of variety here and a good amount of it works well individually and as a whole. I bet on repeat listens I would enjoy this album of yours even more. But with this first impression I enjoyed myself quite well everything considered. Until next time.
