As a certified cringe GEN-Z whomst by being amongst the internet culture I have always joined the the hive mind in thinking that U2 sucks and only boomers like them even though I only heard like that one song of theirs out in the wild. Well today I finally listened to their album called "WAR" and for like the 90% of the runtime my bias against them was becoming my actual thoughts of them. It was the boring 80's alternative rock that I don't care for...
Then I heard "Red Light","Surrender", and "40" and it was like I was listening to an entirely different band. The music was dynamic and alive. The singing was actually engaging. I didn't know what to do with myself with this revelation of actually liking cringe boomer music. Am I going to be burned at the stake by the mob of my fellow Gen-Zers once they found out I betrayed their strong beliefs? Will I have to seek refuge in a retirement home while the bloodthirsty teenagers to early twenties people search the lands for the runaway traitor?? I am writing on this paper towel in a restroom of a bingo hall with U2 blaring on the intercoms. I hate most of the music that's playing but they caught scent of me and they will not forget or forgive. This may be the last you hear of me. It's been a good life while it lasted. I'm going to run into the mob with "Surrender" blaring on the boombox screeching desperately that they actually have good music if you care to search hard enough! But I doubt it's going to work. So fellow soldier in hiding I hope you are also a part of the underground U2 enjoyers and I hope you are taking care of yourself. Don't do what I am about to do cause it's suicidal but SOMEONE has to spread the gospel. And I have nothing else to live for at this point. So I decided that I'll be the sacrifice for the holy U2. Maybe those heretics will see the light. I'll see you on the other side my good friend. This is XXXUWUTWOLUVUR6969XXX signing off.
