I had a sense of Deja Vu listening to that opener. I swear I heard this song before somewhere. That melody was just very familiar to me. Might be from some wack dream I had cause sometimes when my dreams has fits of music it features something like this song.
Also hell yeah, we got some Glam rock in 1996 it's not completely dead yet! We got early Bowie esque vocals and the jangly fun instrumental. It's always funny how I warm up to a genre after I move past it's prime days. I knew this phenomenon happened with Ambience (with Eno's early works and other offerings that highly influenced the genre and Jazz. I hoped that this would happen with thrash metal, but I still don't care much for the genre, don't like most black metal either which is highly influenced by the previously mentioned one.)
Anyways, Suede offers a quality Glam Rock album with a nostalgic flavor while forging his own path in the sound. I had a good time with this, I really liked it!
