Session

Whoa new EP from Ghostminus! This takes thing in a direction that I wasn't expecting in that it more of a grunge rock and a bit post rock instead of the damn solid breakcore that I have become accustomed to. Interesting to see that Painless senseless originally was going to be in this direction would be interesting to see a full project with this new genre. Now for this EP the tracks themselves are generally pretty half cooked and while what is offered in the brief runtimes of each song is good for what it is, I wanted more before the songs finished way too soon. The first two tracks are some brief post rock/ shoe gaze tunes that didn't offer too much for me in the short time they offered. They were decent but not enough to be compelling.

Blind though is that grunge that makes me want to grunge all over the place. It reminds me of one of my favorite bands The Garden with its laid back aggressiveness. Go like twice as crazy and you're basically at their level. It's a fun time to romp around to this track and it's the most dynamic listen of the EP so far. Good stuff! The only complaint I have is that it suddenly ends with no warning.

The EP finishes off with frality and it's even chunkier than blind! I loved whatever that noise was you added at the one minute 8 seconds mark of the track. Followed by pressurized gas leak sound permeating the background. THEN IT GETS EVEN CHUNKIER!!! It permeates the atmosphere with its immense chunk before breaking down right at the end to finish off this short EP!

So yeah I actually really liked the last two tracks and would absolutely love to see these ideas expanded apon. You definitely got something here! Hopefully sometime you come back to the grunge at some point maybe experimentally mix it with your breakcore into something quite special and Interesting at least. Whatever do you keep on tinkering cause damn I am starting to see some sparks fly!
