Man it's been a minute hell even two minutes since I reviewed an Alice Cooper album. So long ago that it's amongst my earliest reviews from last June. I read the review just now and it's surprisingly pretty dang good for being one of my first attempts of a proper review. I got it linked below if you're curious enough to check it out. Shout out to Barcooper for being one of my earliest followers I really appreciate it every time see you liking my posts for all this time. Same goes for everyone else of course but got to shout out one of the OGs.

My early Alice Cooper Review:

Anyways it's nice to come back to an artists work after an extended period of time away from them. It's a nice reunion with an old friend who is happy to remind you of the qualities that you really appreciate from them which makes you wonder why you separated in the first place.

Alice Cooper is still quite the character with plenty of cheesy charm that almost reminds of one of my favorites Frank Zappa. They are on different levels with Zappa going way into the deep end but Copper isn't just dipping his toes either.

I appreciate Cooper for keeping up with the times by utilizing new wave into his rock opera/art rock tool belt. It is a nice upgrade from the kinda dated feel from his album "Welcome to my Nightmare".

All this is great and I am appreciative of his progress as an artist, but to be honest I wasn't really feeling this album. There's nothing wrong or annoying about it, I just couldn't get into it. The LP felt a bit too generic and non impactful for me to care.

There's a track I did enjoy near the end of the album but it does little to improve the overall experience. So while only "I love America" captures my attention, I still recommend you check out the album for yourself since while it may not be for me I can still see plenty of appeal for others out of this album.
