Emarosa - Emarosa

This album was an all-around good listen. For me, the record was at its best in the middle. It is kinda funny to me that what I feel is the strongest portion of the album is sandwiched between the 2 tracks I have the harshest opinion of. Share the Sunshine Young Love and I still feel her PT 4 were the tracks that just didn’t click with me, and while I didn’t like them a good deal, the songs weren’t bad. Just really mid.

Live IT. Love IT, Lust IT for me was the strongest song ... read more

LaRussell - BLACK BOY FLY

The songs are trash, and this guy has a comically insufferable ego. Like he is comparing himself to JAY-Z, 2Pac, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Michael Jordan and Terrell Owens. Excuse me?

I really couldn’t tell you how the songs go. The only sticking points were the bars where he kept talking about how great he is and how he “inspires the ones he inspired.” How am I supposed to respond to that?

Such a terrible album. Really wish I could get my time back.

Attack In Black - Marriage

This album was a tale of 2 halves.

The first half, I enjoyed a good amount. The opening 2 tracks I really enjoyed, and while the rest of the first half wasn’t as strong, I still enjoyed the songs.

The 2nd half was a lot more of a toss up. If All I Thought Were True was a jarring listen, and it didn’t really rebound all that much. Chimes and Churchbells is the weakest song on the album, and it makes it worse that it’s the closer.

Ultimately, it’s a mixed bag, but ... read more

Khamari - A Brief Nirvana

The big thing for me was that this album just felt extremely “eh.”

The opening track is the best song on the album, but afterwards just didn’t really have anything I really gravitated towards. Despite me liking it, I couldn’t tell you how it goes. There were moments where I was liking some of the songs on the album, but then there would be patches of painfully mid afterwards.

I just think that there was a lot more work that was needed to really make this album a whole ... read more

Blur - 13

I think that first and foremost, I should state that I am American. Why this is important is because Britpop was not something that I am super knowledgeable about. Only in the last year or so have I actually learned a little bit about the genre and the notable acts, but that's still on a more basic level. In terms of the argument between Blur and Oasis I would say that I lean more towards Oasis, although I have known who Blur are longer. Granted, that's because Song 2 gets played everywhere and ... read more

Nirvana - In Utero

There are times where you have to be honest and just call things for what they are. Simply put, In Utero is one of the absolute greatest albums ever made. While Nirvana may be my 3rd favorite band of all time, this is my favorite album in all of music. You just cannot go wrong with this record. There is a reason that after all these years, it still receives its flowers and continues to be cherished by millions still.

Nirvana is one of my all time favorite bands, and they have been a band I ... read more

Take That - The Circus

Heading into this album, I had extremely basic info on Take That. That info came from a YouTube video by James Hargreaves Guitar on the feud between Robbie Williams (who I learned used to be in the band) and the Gallagher brothers of Oasis. So, it's safe to say that I was going in completely blind.

Of course, there is no Robbie on this album, having long left the band and in the midst of his solo career, which I personally do not care for in the slightest. So, what do the remnants of this band ... read more

Going into this album, I was very unfamiliar with Marilyn Manson the artist. All I had really known about him was that he was an incredible strange and depraved individual, on top of the charges he is facing which also cement him in my mind as a degusting and garbage human being. With regards to the music, the only songs I knew about where "The Beautiful People" (which I hated), and his cover of AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" (which I learned about in a list of "Worst Covers ... read more
